Japanese Public Bath ~How about the old-time Japanese Public Bath?~
About 1-minute walk from our hotel, there is a public bath called “YanagiYu”, a Kyoto-atmosphere building which is built in the early Showa Period. Once you enter it, you will feel like you are going back to the Showa period.
Not just the Kyoto-style outside, the interior is full of Showa atmosphere such as the tiles painted with neighbor Heian Jingu Shrine, the old-fashioned locker room and massage chair, etc. It’s just like a miraculous public bath of the early Showa period.
Although bathrooms are in all the rooms in our hotel, if you have never tried the Japanese public bath, don’t miss the chance to give it a try as the memorable part of your Kyoto trip.
We also prepare an accommodation plan including the ticket of YanagiYu, bath amenities, and Kyoto local beer “京麦酒”.
If you are interested, please don’t hesitate and make a reservation now!

Besides the tea ceremony, Japanese generals during the Sengoku period (Age of Warring States), such as the famous historical figure, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, were also interested in Noh and they often performed this form of traditional theater together.
We also hold an event for the guests to experience wearing authentic Noh costume. Please do not hesitate to experience the classical art with over 600 years of history by putting on this beautiful costume.
Our staffs are always ready to help you take the best photos during the event.
